Gratefully Still Dead

A solo ukulele journey through the Grateful Dead songbook, blending folk storytelling, improvisation, and psychedelic atmosphere.

Gratefully Still Dead is a special music project by musician Scott Feinblatt, featuring stylized reinterpretations of songs by Grateful Dead performed on ukulele. Drawing from the folk roots, emotional storytelling, improvisational spirit, and psychedelic textures of the Dead’s music, the project shifts between two distinct formats depending on the venue: an intimate acoustic performance and a more expansive electric set incorporating effects, atmosphere, and exploratory jams. Whether stripped-down or amplified, Gratefully Still Dead approaches these songs less as strict covers than as living material — music meant to drift, evolve, and remain alive through performance.
